The Collector’s Case “Pokémon” Unboxing & Review – December 2016

The Collectors Case Review

For December 2016, the Collector’s Case went with an all “Pokémon” theme for the month. Personally, I’m not a big Pokémon fan (although I do play Pokémon Go on occasion) but my kids are huge fans of the series. The bonus signature this month was an autographed print of Ash Ketchum by voice actor Veronica Taylor. As always with the Collector’s Case, if you simply must have this autograph you can sign up for the “Sure Thing” case and beat the odds. So, you want to see what this box had to offer?… well check out my unboxing…

…alright and now for the photos…

Yo-Kai Watch Dog Tags

This was the one non-Pokémon item in the box. 2 Yo-Kai Watch mystery dog tag blind packages. Inside there was a dog tag with a different Yo-Kai design on it as well as a temp tattoo and sticker card. I kept them sealed and gave them to my one Yo-Kai Watch fan for Xmas and he thought they were awesome.

Pokémon Evolution 10 Card Packs

What self respecting Pokémon box doesn’t come with a couple packs of Pokémon cards right? We got 2 packs of 10 and I’m not sure if there were any special or rare cards inside because I gave them to the kids.

Pokémon Deck Box

Another staple in the Pokémon world is a nice box to keep your cards in. My kids all have one already but they are getting full so it’s good to have an extra.

Pokémon Party Supplies

This was kind of a gamble for the Collector’s Case. One the one hand, I’m sure many subscribers have kids or they themselves would love to throw a Poke-party… but on the other hand… for some these items might not go over so well. You got a Pikachu candle, prize bags, and party decorations which is perfect for that Pokémon themed party. For me, this worked out perfectly because one of my kids has a Birthday in a few weeks and will love this stuff!

Pokeball Toy

This is actually pretty cool. It’s a working Pokeball that you can use to catch the included Pokémon. Mine came with Ivysaur which I mistakenly called Bulbasaur in my video… I know, I know it’s a Pokémon sin to get the name wrong I’m sorry lol.

Pikachu Super Plush Throw

This plush blanket is awesome! It’s super soft and very warm and has the picture of Pikachu printed on it that you see on the label. This was by far my favorite item from the box and it was a prefect addition for this time of year.

BONUS Dorbz Suicide Squad Enchantress

But wait… we’re not done yet because my box had a random extra bonus item inside!!! Since their debut, the Collector’s Case has advertised random bonus Funko Pops and Dorbz could be found in the boxes but I had never seen one… until now! I’ve got the bonus signed item several times so the odds are really good for getting these types of extras (1 in 10 I believe). The Dorbz is pretty cool looking but I haven’t got around to seeing the Suicide Squad yet so I am not really familiar with the character.

…and that was the Collector’s Case “Pokémon” theme for December 2016. Overall I thought it was a good box for my kids so that’s definitely a win in my book… if I didn’t have kids though… it might be a little iffy. The January theme is “Game of Thrones” which I am a HUGE fan so I’m really excited to see what they do for that one!!!
