Loot Crate “Magical” Unboxing & Review – November 2016

loot crate magical review

For November 2016, Loot Crate went with a “Magical” theme… literally. “Magical” was the name of the theme lol. With two highly anticipated movies that just hit the theaters: Doctor Strange & Fantastic Beasts, this was the only logical choice for the month. They wound up spoiling the Doctor Strange item well before the box was shipped out so my guess is that they were trying to drum up some new subscribers… so check out that item and more in my video then meet me below for the pics.

Elder Scrolls Online Lootpin

This month’s Lootpin was the Elder Scrolls Online logo which is pretty decent. I’m not a fan of pins but I can appreciate a nice looking licensed pin when I get one. The pin “unlocks” some Elder Scrolls Online bonus “Imperial Edition Upgrade” which I have yet to check out.

Big Trouble in Little China / Escape From New York Exclusive Comic

The Kurt Russell double feature comic. I love both movies but they don’t exactly mesh well together in my opinion so I am curious to see how they did it. I haven’t read it yet but it’s on the top of my to-do list. Naturally it has a Loot Crate exclusive cover.

Game of Thrones Milisandre Journal

I have mixed feelings about this item. I love Game of Thrones and this is a really nice high quality journal… except that I will probably never use the journal. Not to mention, Loot Crate and other subscription boxes regularly put blank journals in their boxes so they tend to pile up. I may, however, take this one to work with me and use it to keep notes for the simple fact that I don’t want it to go to waste.

Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them T-Shirt

This is a really nice quality shirt with a cool looking design on it. I haven’t read the Fantastic Beasts book or seen the movie yet so I don’t know if I’m a fan yet or not. Either way it’s really comfortable and I will definitely wear it!

Doctor Strange Q-Fig

I did see Doctor Strange and (if you missed it in my video) I loved the movie but not Doctor Strange himself lol. The special effects were fantastic and the story line worked really well, but I just thought Doctor Strange was just too big of a prick to like. Yes he falls on hard times and gets humbled but… did he really get humbled? I’m not so sure… I think he’s the same prick he was at the beginning. Ok rant over, this is a nice looking figure that I can definitely appreciate. The Q-fig is always a nice addition the the Loot Crate boxes.

…and that was the Loot Crate “Magical” theme for November 2016. Overall I thought it was pretty light on product. 4 items and the pin just didn’t seem like enough, however, it was way more than $20 worth so I can’t complain too much. I’ve very excited for the December box though… they are going to include an Exclusive Funk Pop which is always a big hit!
