Like most other subscription boxes out there, the Collector’s Case is doing a “Horror” theme for October 2016. Unlike other subscription boxes, only the Collector’s Case offered a chance to get a signed photo of Pinhead from Hellraiser (Doug Bradley) in the box! Those who didn’t want to miss out of the signature scooped up the “Sure Thing” boxes as I know they sold out pretty early. The only other spoiler that they released was that there would be a Five Nights at Freddy’s item inside. So… wanna see what we got? Check out my unboxing!
…alright now let’s get a closer look at everything…
Harry Potter & the Sorcerer’s Stone Movie Trading Cards
Everyone got 3 packs of these Harry Potter trading cards. I know plenty of HP fans that would love these but I’m not really one for cards myself. The 7 card packs include scenes for the Sorcerer’s Stone with a saying on the back that appears to be right from the books.
Scars & Ripped Tattoos
These temporary tattoos have various wounds that you could use to complete you look on Halloween… or fake an injury and use them to try to get sent home from school/work lol. They look somewhat real but not quite as nice as they appear to be on the packaging.
Overkill Halloween Slasher Party Game
This is a table top card game where players pretend to be 80’s style slasher film villains. You rack up points by killing various victims in a stylish way that would make Freddy or Jason proud. I had planned on playing it before Halloween but got sidetracked so I cant say if it’s actually fun or not.
Trap! Zany Zombies Game
Yes we got 2 table top card games in this box! In this game I believe you try to trap as many monsters as you can but, like the other game, I never got to play it yet.
Collector’s Case Halloween Axe Murderer Shirt
This appears to be an original shirt design for the box. It’s a nice shirt for Halloween, which I did in fact wear it, but after that it doesn’t have much use. That’s the only down side of getting holiday themed shirts in these subscription boxes.
Harry Potter Dementor Funko Pop
I love the sculpt on the Dementor Funko Pop! It’s so unique and unlike most others which is what I look for in a Funko.
Fine Nights at Freddy’s Plush
Normally I don’t like plushies but my kids go crazy for FNAF. I got Chica (and yes I had to go ask them it’s name lol) but you could have got any one of the characters from the game. I’ve watched them play the games but I don’t think I could ever get into them as they are not really my style.
…and that was the Collector’s Case “Horror” theme for October 2016. I’m a little bummed that I didn’t get the bonus signature but I’ve got 3 out of the last 5 boxes so I can’t complain. Overall I think it was a decent box. The 2 table top games, Funko Pop, and the Five Nights at Freddy’s plush were all great items and the rest weren’t too bad either.
