Raw Spice Bar Review – Argentine Spices – September 2016

raw spice bar review

Do you ever get tired of cooking the same things over and over? If you’re like me, you have pretty much the same go-to meals each and every week because they are easy and convenient. Don’t you long for something new and exotic one in a while? Well how about adding a little spice to your meals with Raw Spice Bar! (I should write commercials for a living lol) Raw Spice Bar is a monthly spice subscription service. For just $8/month you get 3 packets of spice from a different themed region around the world along with included recipes in order to make the most of your spices! I’ve tried this service in the past and cooked up some delicious meals with very little effort (which is good because I’m in no way a master chef). The theme for September 2016 was “Argentine Spices” and I used one of the included recipes to make a “Cooking with the Nerf Herder” video lol. Check it out!

…so did you enjoy the show? Well I had fun with it and that’s all that matters lol. So let’s check out this month’s offerings:

The 3 spice packets were: “Sun Dried Tomato Pizza”, “Dark Coffee & Chiles”, & “Chipotle Smoked Salt”.

They’re all pre-measured & mixed perfectly for the included recipes. If one or more recipes aren’t really your style, they often offer up alternate recipes on their Facebook page. (I once had to a while back because the included recipe just seemed out of my league so I opted for something more my level.)

The included recipes come on cards with easy to follow directions along with an information card about the region selected for this month’s spices. If you haven’t watched my video, I chose the Sun-Dried Tomato Pizza Sauce & Pizza Recipe! It was simple and delicious but aside form the video, I did not take any photos (I forgot). Tonight I am making the Coffee-Chili Rubbed Steaks recipe and possibly including the Chipotle Salt Grilled Summer Vegetables (if I make it to the store on my way home for the veggies).

Overall, I really like the Raw Spice Bar experience. It challenges me to create new things in the kitchen and adds some excitement to an otherwise hum-drum weekday night.
