…alright so let’s get a closer look at those movies…

Devil May Call

I’ve never seen Devil May Call but it sounds like a great thriller. It’s about a blind girl who works a suicide hotline. One of her regular callers gets a bit obsessive and well… I imagine pays her a visit… the movie itself didn’t get very good reviews online but I will have to see it for myself to make a decision on that.

Tremors

Tremors is just a great classic movie full of cheesy lines and mild scares. The plot is pretty straight forward: monster worm creatures that live underground attack the residence of a small town who must learn to fight back. It’s like every old school horror film repackaged in a 90s setting. I remember seeing it when it first cam,e out but haven’t watched it in a number of years so I’m anxious to see it again.

Orlok the Vampire

I find this one very interesting. from what I understand this is the original Nosferatu vampire movie from the 1920s remastered and put into cheesy red-and-blue style 3d. I’ve never seen the original so I am anxious to check this one out as it was probably the first horror movie ever made.

Thirst

Thirst is an Asian horror movie about a priest who gets a transfusion of vampire blood and thus changes him into one himself. The movie was filmed in Korean but it appears to have an English dub so that I don’t have to read the subtitles. I’ve watched the trailer for it and it seems like a really good movie that will be perfect for watching late nights in the dark.

…and that was the Horror Pack DVD box for August 2016. Overall I thought it was a great month… I love Tremors and I’m really anxious to check out Orlok the Vampire in cheesy 3d lol. Again, the DVD subscription runs $20/month while the Blu Ray subscription is $25/month… which when given the choice, the Blue Ray is the obvious way to go for the extra 5 bucks!
