Loot Wear is the subscription service formerly known as Loot Crate Level Up. It consists of four separate geeky clothing subscriptions: Loot Tees, Loot Socks, Loot Wearables, & Loot For Her. (Loot Undies will be added next month!!) Loot Wear has been kind enough to send me all four subscriptions in exchange for my honest review every month but I never let that influence my opinions. The theme for September 2016 is “Speed” and features some awesome franchises including Transformers (which I am most excited for)… so let’s dive into the unboxing video and check out the photos after…
…alright so let’s break down each of the subscriptions one at a time…
Loot Tee: Mario Kart Blue Shell T Shirt
Loot Tee is the least expensive of the Loot Wear line. At just $9/month you get a licensed geeky T shirt that is 100% exclusive. This month’s Mario Kart tee is awesome! It’s tagless and soft and the design looks slightly aged and faded which is a nice touch. Of course it’s also a Loot Wear exclusive so you wont ever find it anywhere else.
Loot Socks: Sonic the Hedgehog & Deadpool Socks
With Loot Socks you get 2 pair of geeky socks each month for just $10. The Deadpool socks are athletic socks with arch support and a cushioned sole. Along with the Deadpool symbol on the foot area of the sock, there is also Deadpool printed up the sides in big blocky 3d lettering. The Sonic the Hedgehog socks are more of a dress sock. They are slightly thinner but still have heel and toe reinforcement so they last longer. Sonic is printed at the top “losing his rings” and the rest of the sock design is of all the rings scattering.
Loot Wearable: Transformers Autobots Jersey
The Loot Wearable subscription runs $15/month and you get a higher quality wearable item. In the past I have received hoodies, pjs, and some long sleeve shirts. For the “Speed” theme we got a Transformers jersey that resembles a soccer-like design on the front with an Autobot patch. The jersey is lightweight polyester and the red and blue stripes are printed on top of the fabric making that area a little stiffer than the rest of the garment. The Autobot patch is sewn on and the whole thing is very high quality. The jersey itself felt a little strange against my skin on the front but I’m not really accustomed to wearing this type of shirt.
Loot For Her: Transformers Arcee Sleep Shorts
Loot For Her used to be the Level Up Accessories subscription. In the past there has been items such as geeky jewelry, leggings, shirts, purses… you name it. Loot For Her runs $15/month and for the September “Speed” theme we got these Transformers Arcee sleep shorts. I finally switched the sizing of this subscription to fit my girlfriend so that she could make use of them and I even talked her into modeling them for us! (I’d model them myself but let’s face it…. NOONE wants to see that lol) The shorts themselves are very soft and comfy and surprisingly longer that I had thought when I unboxed them (I thought they were booty shorts). Here’s a closer look at the Arcee design on them…
…as you can see it’s a really good likeness of her and the coloring is reminiscent of like an old 80’s neon style. They also have a tie string up in the front waist area to ensure a good fit.
…and that was the Loot Wear “Speed” collection for September 2016. My favorite item this month was definitely the Loot Tee Mario Kart shirt… although I think my girlfriend looks pretty hot in her Loot For Her Transformers sleep shorts lol. Loot Wear also offers bundles if you’re interested in subscribing to more than one service: Loot For Her + Loot Tees = $20/month or Loot Socks + Loot Wearables = $21/month.
PLUS you can SAVE even more with my Discount Code “NERFHERDER” which will get you 10% OFF your first month!
