Technically the Loot Pets April 2016 theme is “Quest for Bacon” because it is supposedly all bacon themed this month. If you’ve never heard of Loot Pets, it’s a geeky subscription box for your dog which mirrors the Loot Crate box. The subscription runs $25/month and comes with matching shirts for you are your pup, treats, and geeky themed toys. Each month my dog, Chewie, and I unbox the Loot Pets together… check it out…
…isn’t Chewie adorable?? Alright now let’s take a look at the photos…
Loot Pets “Quest” Charm
I guess I should start calling it a charm and not a tag because it doesn’t have any info on it in case your dog gets lost. Lately they’ve been exactly mirroring the Loot Crate pins which is fine with me although my dog doesn’t like them dangling around his neck so I’m not getting any use out of them.
Loot Pets Quest Strips Dog Treats
I believe all of the treats that come in the Loot Pets box all natural and made in the USA. These are beefy strips and there are maybe 8 in the package. I’m glad they only went with 1 bag of treats this month as I would rather have more variety than a box full of treats…. my dogs disagree with that statement though lol.
Battlepug Graphic Novel
This is not what I expected when they said there would be a Battlepug item in the box. Don’t get me wrong, this is a great book! I also get the dog box tie in…. but I get this subscription for my dogs and unfortunately… they can’t read. It’s cool though… I’ll let it slide this month but hopefully they dont make a habit of it.
Bacon Chew Toy
This bacon has some type of crunchy plastic in the middle that simulates the sound of frying bacon when crunched. It also has a squeaker in the middle for an added surprise. Chewie didn’t much care for it but my other dog, Mowgli thinks it’s awesome. The fabric is soft but also feels very thin and easy to tear… I’m hoping I don’t find a shredded bacon toy all over the living room next time I come home from work.
Adventure Time Jake “Makin Bacon Pancakes” Matching Shirts
Previously in order to have matching shirts, you needed the Loot Crate subscription in addition to the Loot Pets. This month they decided that it would be better just to package them up together in the box so everyone can be twinsies. This also allows them to go in separate directions between boxes if need be. I’m not a big Adventure Time fan but my kids are so they will be the ones matching the dog this month lol.
…and that was the Loot Pets “Quest for Bacon” themed box for April 2016. Overall it wasn’t a bad month although I would much rather get more dog toys and less of the other stuff especially the Battlepug comic. As I said earlier, this subscription is for my dogs so I would prefer that there was only stuff for my dogs in the box.
