Loot Anime “Haunted” Unboxing & Review – February 2016

Loot Anime review

Episode 4 in the Loot Anime subscription is themed “Haunted” and is said to be packed full of all sorts of supernatural items from anime’s darker side. They are advertising something from RWBY, Tokyo Ghoul, & Soul Eater in the box which are title I’m a little more familiar with than some of the other boxes. So I know you’re here to see what’s inside so check out my unboxing and I’ll meet you below…

.

…alright and you know I’ve taken some close ups of everything in the box so check them out…

Loot Anime Haunted Charm

The tradition continues this month with a phone charm that looks like an evil mirror (or something). It’s pretty plain compared to some of the others so I’m not all that excited about it.

Pretz Snack

Snacks are another regular in the Loot Anime boxes. Don’t get me wrong I love Japanese snacks but if they happen to skip this a month or two I wouldn’t be upset. I’ve never heard of Pretz before but I figured they would be like pretzels (hence the name) but they are really more like a favored bread stick or something. They were pretty good, nice and spicy, but nothing to write home about.

Soul Eater Patch

For a patch, this is nice. It’s fuzzy and seems like it’s good quality but in the end it’s still a patch… I love the anime titales they are including in the boxes but sometimes their choice of item type is a bit lacking. I know there are a lot of people who will love this patch though and I already have someone requesting this one from me.

RWBY Memo Books

Loot Crate has used this company before… possibly several times because I know I have some of these around. It’s 2 blank “field notes” notebooks with the RWBY characters on the cover. The artwork is nice and I will make use of them but so far this box hasn’t been too exciting.

Tokyo Ghoul Shot Glasses

I have a lot of shot glasses already but these are really nice. The glass is a blood red color and it has the images seen in the photo printed on them. I’m definitely keeping them because of how awesome they look but I doubt they will ever have a shot poured in them.

Oni Bandana Mask

This isn’t linked to any particular anime show as far as I’m aware. It’s to ward away evil spirits and if you fold it in half and tie it over your mouth it looks pretty cool.

Noragami Stray God Manga

This is one item I really like in the Loot Anime boxes. They’ve included quite a few manga titles so far, all with exclusive cover art. The exclusive-ness of the cover isn’t really all too important to me but if they can manage it and keep the costs down more power to them. I get a lot of reading material every month so it will be a while before I get to this.

RWBY T Shirt

This shirt is amazing! Not only is it super soft, but the art design on it is top notch. I like the simple, solid-ness of it (yes I made that up) No shading just sold color and black.

…and that was the Loot Anime “Haunted” theme for February 2016. Overall I wasn’t overly thrilled about this one… with the anime titles they had, there could have been so many better item choices. The box wasn’t all bad though because there was enough of the good to balance out the “meh”.
