For February, Nerd Block chose probably one of the strangest theme names I’ve ever heard: “Deadpool at Home”. Meaning, of course, there would be some Deadpool in the box but the “at home” part left a lot open to interpretation. They did announce the other themes though so it wasn’t a complete mystery… so check out the unboxing video and the photos will be waiting for you below…
….alright now lets get a closer look at all that stuff…
Super Wine Stopper
I like this Super Mario like wine stopper it’s a very unique and clever item for a geeky subscription box. I do question how many wine drinking geeks we have out there that subscribe to Nerd Block… not that geeks cant or don’t drink wine but in my experience there are a lot more beer drinking geeks in the world lol.
Glow in the Dark Batman Mug
I do hate getting so many mugs! When you only get one box… as I’m sure the majority of people do… this isn’t really an issue. But for those of us with multiple subscriptions these things just keep coming month after month. I do have an older Batman mug that I’m going to “retire” and replace with this one though because it’s much cooler than my other one.
NES Power Glove Oven Glove
Is it wrong that this is the item I’m most excited about from this box? Yes I’m an odd one for sure but as a kid I always wanted the NES Power Glove and never got one so now I have the adult version lol. Plus I’ve been meaning to replace my old one for quite some time but always forget so it worked out perfectly.
Exclusive Deadpool Plush
I got the standard Deadpool but you could have also received the X Force Deadpool “chase variant” plush. Since I’m not a fan of plushies it didn’t matter to me either way which one I got. It’s a pretty decent item though and doesn’t feel like a cheap carnival quality plush sop that’s a bonus.
Deadpool Mercenary Tee
I like the skull and crossbones look of this Shirt Punch Tee. It’s an original take on the flood of Deadpool in just about every box this month. I will definitely wear this one over some of the others that came this month.
…and that was the Nerd Block Classic “Deadpool at Home” theme for February 2016. Overall the box was not bad but seeing as that the one thing I got most excited over was an oven mitt… well let’s just say it didn’t blow me away either.
