Geek Fuel Unboxing & Review – February 2016

geek fuel review

February was an exciting time for Geek Fuel! Not only were they advertising a Deadpool item (but then who wasn’t lol) but the thing I was most excited about was the Firefly item! If you don’t know about Geek Fuel, they are a geeky subscription box that always includes an awesome shirt design and a full downloadable Steam game in every box. This time I recommend watching the unboxing video (if you normally skip them) since one of the items came packages that I could not duplicate for the photos below…

…pretty awesome box eh? Take a closer look at everything below…

Geek Fuel Magnet

They’re lucky the mascot is so freakin cute because otherwise it’s just an advertisement. It’s a really nice quality magnet though and it will have a place on my geeky fridge.

Retro Magazine with Geek Fuel Exclusive Cover

Ok so having an exclusive cover magazine doesn’t really make it any more special but I do love Retro magazine. Every once in a while we get one in Geek Fuel and I find they have some great articles in there if you’re a retro gamer like me.

Deadpool Bottle Opener

It seems you could have got this, a pin, or a keychain so I’m glad I got the bottle opener because I have too many of the others. It’s a pretty heavy round metal Deadpool logo with a simple bottle opener on the flip side. Seems to be pretty good quality.

Elliot Quest Full Steam Download

I love these full Steam games! This one is pretty retro looking although I haven’t tried it out yet.

Deadpool Shirt

This shirt was wrapped up in the tin foil to look like a chimichanga. Probably the single most awesome shirt packaging idea in any geek box ever!

Shiny Winter Hat

Yes that is Jayne’s hat from Firefly! I’ve been wanting one of these forever and now I finally have it. I literally wear this every chance I get and …yes I do get funny looks that you for asking. Best. Item. Ever!

…and that was the Geek Fuel for February 2016. I’d have to say this was probably one of the best boxes they have ever put out! I guess I may be a little biased because I am a HUGE Firefly fan but hey… we all have our favorite fandoms! Geek Fuel runs $24/month shipped and if you would like to try them for yourself, please use my affiliate link by clicking here.
