Geek Fuel Unboxing & Review – January 2016

geek fuel review

Hey what’s up? It’s time once again for another Geek Fuel Review! In case you don’t know, Geek Fuel is a geeky subscription box that features a selection of geeky goodies including full downloadable Steam game in the box every month. The only hint they gave out for January (that I’m aware of) is that there will be a Resident Evil item in the box. So check out my unboxing then I’ll have the photos below…

Legend of Zelda Link Candy

I’ve had these before in another geek box, inside are candy swords. There’s a relatively small amount of candy in it so the appeal is the nice tin that it comes in. Since I already have this one though… its just “meh”

Jakku Comic-Con Poster

This is really clever. I like the detail they put into it like the entry fees are in “portions” and the fact that the “fast pass” is hugely over priced lol.

Starlabs Coffee Mug

I’m so over geeky coffee mugs it’s not even funny. Not that its a bad mug or anything but there are FAR too many mugs sent in subscription boxes. I literally have about 15 or so and there is no more room in my cupboard. But if you’re not like me… you may like this spoof from the Flash mug. I do like the orange/red color though it’s unique

MetroWarp Steam Game

This game looks addictive! I haven’t played it yet since I rebox everything for my end of month reviews but from what I’ve seen it’s a puzzle game where you have to get the people to reach a specific goal (somewhat like Lemmings). And apparently they can only turn left lol.

Resident Evil Umbrella Pin

This is a very nice Umbrella pin. I wish I had more to say about it but …well ya know… it’s just a pin.

History of Time Travel Shirt (reprint)

If this shirt looks familiar it’s because they sent it out about a year ago. I actually didn’t get one though because it came in the box before my first box so it is actually cool that I got one. They said that it’s their most requested shirt so they cleaned it up and printed it in better quality. I don’t mind but I think they should have given long time subscribers a heads up. I really do like the shirt though and I will definitely be wearing it!

…and that was the Geek Fuel for January 2016. This wasn’t a very exciting box for me… I like the game, shirt, and poster… but I’m not big on pins or mugs. It wasn’t a bad box it just wasn’t for me that’s all. Geek Fuel runs $25/month and if you would like to try it for yourself, please use my affiliate link by clicking here.
