Just like every other box out there, Nerd Block went all Star Wars for the month of December. The official theme name is “Star Wars: From Classic to Current” but I felt that it really doesn’t fit well up in the title area lol. Nerd Block really didn’t talk about what was going to be in the box on social media so the exact contents are a complete mystery. So with that being said, let’s take a look at my unboxing video:
…alright now let’s get a closer look at all of the items in the photos below…
Star Trek Prop Replica Pin
Nerd Block decided to troll it’s own Star Wars box with a Star Trek item lol. The pin is a prop replica from the original movies and although I’m not a big fan of pins, the fact that it’s a prop replica makes it a bit nicer.
Nerd Block Blaster Keychain
In my opinion, geeky subscription boxes send out far too many keychains. This one is pretty cool because it looks like Han Solo’s blaster so I may decide to actually use it… but otherwise I don’t normally make use of things like this.
Star Wars “Vacation Style” Mouse Pad
There were 3 different styles you could have received. I got Endor but they were all essentially the same with (what I call) a vacation-like advertisement on them. I may replace my current mousepad with this one but I’m torn because I’m using the giant NES controller pad from one of the other boxes I’ve received.
Star Wars Ice Cube Tray
Again there were 3 different designs that could have been in the box. I got the one perfect for me, Han Solo in carbonite, so I will definitely be making ice in this. I may also make chocolate candies or something using the mold just because that would be too awesome but we’ll see if I actually get around to doing it.
Star Wars Funko Pop
I’m glad they went with a classic Star Wars Funko Pop over the newer ones because I don’t have that many of the older. I got the Tie Fighter pilot which was one I don’t have so that’s perfect. I always thought the Tie Pilots looked a little more bad ass than the Storm Troopers because they are all in black.
Kylo Ren Shirt
This is a very cool artistic take on Kylo Ren’s mask. I like the splatter look and the red highlights work really well making the whole thing stand out.
…and that was December’s Nerd Block “Star Wars: From Classic to Current” box for December 2015. Overall I think they put together a very nice box although I wish they could have included a vehicle or something instead of the ice cube tray. January’s theme is “Neverending Stories” which will include several fantasy type items including Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Game of Thrones!
