Loot Crate has been expanding it’s product line recently… first with Loot Anime and now with Loot Pets! Yes that’s right, Loot Crate has created a geeky subscription box designed for your pets… primarily dogs although it is not specifically marketed that way. Their first box was themed “Galaxy” which went right along with the normal box theme so my guess is that this will be what we can expect going forward. So … I know you’re dying to see what was in the box so let’s start with the unboxing video FEATURING my dog Chewie!!!
…and we’re back so what did you think? Hmmm? You need a closer look? Well that’s why I take the pictures silly:
Loot Pets “Founding Pet” Tag
Much like Loot Anime, the Loot Pets came with an exclusive little tag item in the first box for it’s founding members. I like it but I wish there was some way to have it engraved so it could replace my dog’s regular tag. Ah well I’ll still have him wear it.
Galactic Snaps Dog Treat
There aren’t many treats in the bag but my dog goes nuts for them. They are freeze dried beef liver snacks and they must have a great smell because his little nose is stuck to the bag every time I bring it out.
Weyland-Yutani Corp Dog Collar
I totally missed the fact that this was the infamous company from the Alien franchise. It’s very high quality and says “Building Better Dogs” around it. Fun fact… I Googled “Weyland-Yutani” and stumbled across their mock website promoting the Prometheus movies. Check it out!
Firefly “Troublemaker” Bowl
This is a nice quality bowl with a rubber ring on the bottom to prevent chipping or cracking. I love the firefly design on it but it seems to be a little small even for my medium sized dog. I may or may not use it but I will definitely hang on to it for the moment because it’s just too cool.
“Galaxy” Ugly Christmas Sweater Shirt
In case you missed it, this is the exact same design as the Loot Crate shirt this month. That way you and your dog can have matching shirts… probably one of the coolest ideas ever lol. Mine fit my medium size dog just fine but I have heard some people had some sizing issues with their dogs. I guess I could see that happening because dogs come in all shapes and sizes.
…and that was the premiere Loot Pets “Galaxy” box for December 2015. The subscription runs $25/month shipped and I think I will keep this one going for a while.
