Patch, Pins, & Mr. Sketch Scented Markers

Of course you can’t have the 60s without a “Have a Nice Day” smiley face lol. You probably know where I stand on pins so we will just move on to the Mr. Sketch Scented Markers. Now I had scented markers back in the day when I was a kid and I just assumed they were a product of the 80s… I guess I was wrong because they have been around since the 60s. (it’s both fun and educational lol) The scents I got are blueberry and mint and with just one sniff it took me back to a simpler time. Sure they are just markers but I spent a lot of time coloring with them as a child.

Star Trek Captain Kirk Luggage Tag

I am a Trekkie in case you didn’t know. Admittedly though I am more of a “Next Generation” Trekkie than the original but that doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate the classics. Who better to watch over your luggage than William Shatner in his “banging hot aliens” phase am I right? lol. Anyways, the packaging came with a Retro Pop Box fun fact on it which I found interesting… yes this is just a luggage tag but as an adult I actually have a need for one of these.

WRNR T Shirt

Radio was huge back in the 60s & with the introduction of the transistor radio. This one invention allowed radio to become portable so you could take it wherever you went… something we definitely take for granted nowadays. I was curious if this represented an actual radio station or not and after some research I am still not sure. There is a WRNR radio station but it’s an FM station and it’s unclear if it has roots dating back to the 60s. Either way this shirt is so retro looking I like it.

Classic TV Batman Figure

Yes! It’s totally Adam West which is so cool… I love the old Batman TV show and catch re-runs whenever I find them. We have a local TV station that runs classic shows so I catch them once in a while. The figure is nicely detailed and is the bendy-type. I haven’t removed him from the package yet but I once I finish up the month he is hanging out with my on my desk.

…and that was the Retro Pop Box “1960s” box for November 2015. Even though I am not a child of the 60s I can still appreciate what the decade has given us. Next month I should hopefully get the 70’s and then the 80’s after that which are more my style so I am looking forward to that! Retro Pop Box runs $20/month plus shipping and you can SAVE 10% on your first box with coupon code “UNBOX1”.
