In case you didn’t know, My Geek Box is one of the larger UK based geeky subscription boxes. I’ve known about them for a while & even tried a box a few months back when they offered an exclusive Funko Pop. I thought the box was pretty good although I had made the comment that the shipping charge made the box a little too expensive to get in the US regularly. Well they apparently listened (yes I will take the credit lol) and they contacted me to let me know that they now offer FREE US SHIPPING! They sent me the October “Afterlife” box to review and spread the news to all of my readers. Want to see what was inside? Of course you do…
…and I’m sure you just skipped over the video for the photos so here they are:
Zombie Outbreak Response Team Sticker
I reversed the photo so you could read it easier but it is meant to be stuck on a window. Stickers are normally pretty ‘blah’ but this one isn’t half bad actually. I might even stick it on my car.
Bloody Hand Print Handkerchief
I’m pretty sure this is a handkerchief but it doesn’t exactly say anything specific. I suppose you could use it from pretty much anything. I plan on putting it away with my Halloween stuff and incorporating it into my display next year.
Dracula Block Puzzle
I’ve seen similar puzzles around but never tried one. The object is to get him into a cube which I’m betting isn’t as easy as it sounds. I do like puzzles like this and after I’m through with it I can pass it along to my kids to try and solve as well.
Unfortunately, due to the international shipping… I got this box well after Halloween. However… luckily for me I would much rather wear a “Boo” shirt months later just to be ironic lol.
Warning Zombies Metal Sign
While kinda cheesy, this is also a really decent quality sign. It’s much better than a rolled up poster which most other boxes tend to ship. As I said in my video, I will probably hang this in my garage because it looks like there could be some zombies hiding in all the mess lol.
Twisted Dark Graphic Novel
This is a nice thick book & has a $10 cover price. The artwork inside is all black & white and looks very well done. I look forward to reading this!
…and that was the My Geek Box “Afterlife” theme for October 2015. The box runs $30/month with FREE US shipping but keep in mind that this is international shipping so it may take a while to reach you. With that in mind, you may not get a holiday-themed box until after the holiday like this one which I received in early November. This month’s theme is “Movies & Television” and if you would like to subscribe, please use my affiliate link by clicking here. All purchases made through my links go right back to help support this site. This box was sent to me for review purposes, however, all opinions are my own.
Be sure to check out my other subscription box reviews, and follow me on social media so you never miss another unboxing.
