Geek Me Box Unboxing & Review – October 2015

geek me box review

I’m still playing catch-up with the October boxes and Geek Me Box was one of the last to arrive. They don’t really do themes but this was still a Halloween box of sorts. Let’s just jump right in…

The Hobbit Chibis 3 Pack

I’ve never seen these before. I like that Geek Me Box goes with the unconventional items as opposed to playing it safe with some Funkos. These aren’t the greatest as far as quality and detail goes which is disappointing. At least I still got Gandalf and Golem …and well one of those dwarves who weren’t very memorable lol.

Walking Dead Dog Tags

I don’t really understand why anyone would want to collect dog tags from game/tv/movie franchises. This one is somewhat cool because it has an actual piece of “zombie clothing” from the show in it but that’s not saying much if you think about it.

The Nightmare Before Christmas Mystery Minis

I do really like getting the Mystery Minis in geeky subscription boxes. I got the Harlequin Demon which is nicely detailed and displays well.

Deathstroke Funko Pop

I dont watch Arrow but this Deathstoke character looks awesome. Plus it’s always a bonus to get a Pop that I don’t already own.

Rick & Morty + Back to the Future Mashup Shirt

I don’t really care for this shirt design. The characters look awkward and the background Delorean & ship blend together. Normally the shirts in Geek Me Box are some of my favorites but this one just didn’t work for me… ah well.

…and that was the Geek Me Box for October 2015. Not the best box they have ever sent but not terrible either. If they included a better shirt design it could have been decent with the Mystery Minis and Funko Pop. But at $30 with 3 mediocre items and 2 good ones I unfortunately have to say this month’s box was a miss.
