Gacha Crate Unboxing & Review – October 2015

gacha crate review

Here’s another new-ish box that I have recently discovered! The Gacha Crate is a monthly subscription box that brings you Japanese gashapon to you door each month. The price is $26 with shipping and you have your choice of 2 different style boxes: “Kakkoii” which contains geeky items, or “Kawaii” which contains all that is cute. The box is shipped directly from Japan and contains about 5 or 6 gashapon plus a “mystery item”. So do you want to see what was in October’s box? Well check out the video…

.

…ok so I know you want to take a closer look so here are the photos…

…just to give you a quick idea of what the gashapon look like. These pictured have been emptied already but essentially this is how the package comes with a piece of felt inside to keep things from rolling around.

Mariokart 8 Stickers & Gum

I believe this is the “bonus item” as it was not inside a gashapon. It was a mystery pack with 2 stickers and a piece of gum. The gum was tasty and my kids will like the stickers so it’s a win in my book.

EarthBound “Mother 2” Kizetsu Series Keychain

I totally didn’t recognize what this was about until I Google’d it. EarthBound was a SNES game that I now remember playing …like way back when it came out. I never owned it though which is why this one just faded away in my memory. I would say that I will pick it up for the SNES to play again but the game is WAAAAAY over priced on ebay.

Super Mario Stylus

I totally didn’t know what this was at first. I thought it was some kind of ink pen without the ink lol. It’s actually a really cool little stylus for your Nintendo DS or 3DS. It’s much more substantial than the normal little ones so it’s less likely to get lost like they do. I haven’t played my DS in a while but I’m pretty sure I lost my last stylus a long time ago.

Attack on Titan Series Keychain

I just recently started watching Attack on Titan. Yes I know I’m way behind the rest of the world but I don’t get much time to binge watch shows anymore. As you can see the figure is highly detailed and very cool looking. I have several little figures like this so he will hang out with them.

Calbee Chip Keychain

Yes…. that is in fact a fake potato chip lol. This has got to be one of the strangest things I’ve ever seen… and that’s what makes it so cool! Name one friend who has a potato chip on their keys right? This is definitely a conversation starter lol.

Imaginary Sushi Girl Series

Yes we have a winner… for the absolute strangest but so incredibly awesome item in the box… the Sushi Girl! I don’t know …but I think she is naked under all of that sushi hahaha. I love this little figure and she will get the front and center spot in the Japanese section of my collectibles!

…and that was the Gacha Crate for October 2015. For $26 shipped each item costs you a little over $4 each which seems reasonable for items of this type. I thought the box was great and full of crazy-unique items which is the whole point of getting a box like this in the first place. If you would like to check out Gacha Crate, you can visit their website by clicking here.
