Ah yes, it’s time for another Collectible GEEK Deluxe Cache unboxing. The theme for September 2015 was “Quest Accepted” which is said to be all about the gamers this time. For those who don’t know, Collectible geek comes in 2 sizes… the standard cache which is like most other geeky subscription boxes… and then there’s the Deluxe Cache which comes with (typically) 4 Funko Pops plus a few extras! So would you like to see what was inside? Of course you do! Check it out…
allllllright now lets check out the photos:
Classic NES Micro Posters 2 pack
They are made to mimic a battle card game like Magic the Gathering which is somewhat cool but the character art could have been a little better looking.
Heroes of the Storm Funko Mystery Minis
I don’t play Heroes of the Storm so I was hoping for a character I knew like Diablo but instead I got this guy. I got him already and I don’t even know his name. (Someone told me but I forgot because it’s not that important to me). So ya know this one was a bust… but that’s what you get with a blind box.
Team Fortress 2 Portable Mercs
I didn’t know TF2 had it’s own line of mini figures. I think they’re pretty cool and definitely something different than the normal stuff you find in a geeky subscription box. I got a Red Team Soldier I believe… it’s been ages since I’ve played though.
Sonic & Tails Shot Glasses
Who doesn’t like shot glasses right? Well except maybe kids and recovering alcoholics… but hey I’m neither so these are awesome.
It’s Legend Time T-shirt
I really don’t like Adventure Time so this mash-up with Link doesn’t appeal to me. I know the drawing is pretty true to the Adventure Time animation style but personally I just don’t like the shirt design. However, my kids are fans of the show and will love this so it’s all good right.
Halo UNSC Keychain and Lanyard
Personally I think this was a very risky item to include in the box. It is obviously high quality and judging from the fewer items in the box I’d say it’s pretty pricey as well. It’s not that I haven’t played Halo …I mean come on who hasn’t… but I haven’t owned an Xbox in years and was never really into the game when I had one. I know some gamers though who will gladly take them off my hands… or maybe I will put them in a future giveaway.
World of Warcraft Sylvanas Funko Pop
I’ve never played WOW believe it or not so I don’t know about this character. I am a collector of Funko Pops so in that respect I think she is a great figure with some really nice detail. Collectible GEEK always ships out their Funko Pops in Pop Protectors as well which is a nice touch.
Magic the Gathering Jace Beleren Funko Pop
Again, I haven’t played this game either (yes I know I am missing out but I have adult things that take up too much time… like work) This Funko Pop has some really great paint work on it and will be a great addition to my collection.
Evolve Hank Funko Pop
This is Hank from Evolve. He has a really nice sculpt with a ton detail. I like Hank.
Diablo 3 Diablo Funko Pop
I’ve played Diablo since the original first came out. When Diablo 2 was released I think I may have lost a few months… or possibly years of my life. I had a group of adventurers that would usually play fair and spread the loot around… but once in a while we would get scammed by some greedy idiot or …ya know that guy who would kill you and wait by your corpse over and over and over lol.
…and that was Collectible GEEK’s “Quest Accepted” Deluxe Cache for September 2015. I thought it was pretty decent even though I didn’t play many of the games involved. I was expecting something totally different so to me it was a little bit of a let down but most of the feedback I’ve received was very positive so most other’s liked it.
