I spent a few months away from the ZBOX but now I’m back! For those who don’t know… ZBOX is a geeky subscription box from the UK that offers super cheap shipping to the US. The theme for September was “Heroes & Villains” so you are sure to see lots of your favorite superheroes and well… villains too. So what’s in the box?? Well check it out for yourself:
…if you watched that then you see that the ZBOX does not disappoint! Let’s take a closer look at what was inside…
X-Men Wristband & a Pixy Stix
I forgot they add a little piece of candy in the box. Pixy Stix are widely available so this was nothing strange an unusual from overseas. The X-Men wristband is nothing special but my kids will love it just the same. This is the only “filler” items in the box so I’d say that’s not half bad!
I was surprised to find that wristband sells for about $8
Villain in a Can Sound Machine
I’ve been told that a similar item was found in the Loot Crate “Creepy” Crate from the New York Comic Con but I haven’t seen the contents for myself. At first I thought it was an actual air horn but it turns out to just play creepy sound effects when you push the button. I will find some use for it this Halloween for sure.
I couldn’t find anything similar but it seems like it would be at least a $7 item.
Transformers “Robots in Disguise” Mug
I’ve seen a lot of mugs in geeky subscription boxes and I have to say I’m a bit “mugged out” …that being said I will for sure make an exception for something as cool as this! The Autobot logo has a disguise on and when you add a hot liquid the disguise disappears… that is freaking hilarious! That’s worth cramming into my already overflowing mug shelf in the kitchen cabinet.
These sell for about $15
Marvel Captain America DIY Munny
I know some people don’t care for DIY vinyl but I think it’s cool. I like that this one has stickers instead of markers so even someone not artistic can make a decent looking figure.
These sell for about $15
ZBOX Exclusive Joker
This is a very cool Joker figure. It’s a ZBOX exclusive, however, while looking up the value is was also a Comic Con Exclusive from 2014 and it does come retail in a bundle with Batman. They could be variations, it’s difficult to tell. Either way it makes no difference to me …I just thought that was an interesting fact.
The bundle that I found was $20 making this stand alone figure an estimated $10
…and that was the ZBOX “Heroes & Villains” box for September 2015. An estimated $55 value for $33 shipped to the US. Overall I was very impressed with this box. But I am more interested in what they have planned for October. The theme is “Time Travel” and they are featuring a European Exclusive Funko Pop! Interestingly enough, Loot Crate has the same theme and is also boasting an exclusive Pop… which makes you wonder if they will somehow relate to each other right?? I’m not about to pass up an exclusive so I have them both ordered. If you want to try ZBOX for yourself, you can visit their website here. You may want to jump on this though… the cut off date is drawing near. Also, all purchases made through my affiliate links go right back to help support this site.
