Nerd Block “Trick or Treat” Unboxing & Review – October 2015

Nerd Block

I haven’t even finished my September boxes when October’s Nerd Block arrived at my door. The theme for October is naturally “Trick or Treat” and Nerd Block has essentially released every single item inside in some form of teaser or another. That’s not saying we know exactly what is in the box but there shouldn’t be any surprises that’s for sure. So check out the video unboxing and we will reconvene after…
.

.

…so what did you think? Let’s jump right into the photos…

The Simpsons Moe’s Tavern Coaster

“Put your mug on my mug” is something I could hear Moe say… and maybe this is even from one of the 1000s of episodes that I’ve long forgot. I think it’s awesome even though it’s only a coaster… and I guess there is nothing more to say about that.

This is only a guess but I’d value this around $5

Bob’s Burgers Mad Libs

Mad Libs are awesome …even after all these years I never get tired of the endless “poop” and “fart” jokes that get inserted into every day stories. We use them on road trips to pass the time so this will definitely be useful.

These sell for about $3

Zombie Hunter Dog Tags

These are a nice quality dog tag and are pretty cool looking. I have no use for them but I will either give it to the kids or use it for Halloween and a costume prop.

I couldn’t find anything similar but I am guessing $10

Jem & The Holograms Outrageous Annual Nerd Block Exclusive Variant Cover

I remember Jem as a kid and believe it or not I used to watch it. I think it was probably because there was nothing else on at the time… or my older sister made me lol. I like that they are including more female-based items inside geeky subscription boxes these days… even though I dont have any use for them. I may or may not read this one I haven’t decided yet…

The standard issue sells for $8

Gremlins Glow in the Dark T-Shirt

I love this shirt! In the dark there is a hidden image of the Gremlin “Stripe” that appears. The simple black-and-white design works well for me and I will definitely be wearing this one.

I value all shirts at $10

Nerd Block Exclusive Titans Alien Twin Pack

When they advertised 2 vinyl figures inside this month’s box, this wasn’t what I had in mind. But technically they’re right and I’m not complaining. The Alien is nicely detailed and cool looking …Ripley looks a bit funny though. Still I like getting the Titans figures in Nerd Block since you don’t normally see them in any other geeky subscription box.

Separately these figures would be about $10 each so I’ll say it’s $20 for the 2 pack.

geeky subscription box reviews

…and that was the Nerd Block Classic “Trick or Treat” box for October 2015. An estimated $56 value for $30 shipped. I thought the month was pretty decent. The move towards better quality items and less cheap filler is a smart decision in my opinion. If you would like to try Nerd Block for yourself, you can visit their website by clicking here.
