1Up Box “Arcade” Unboxing & Review – June 2015

1up box

Something has been different about 1Up Box lately… and as it turns out the founders of the company split and one of the creative forces started the Super Geek Box. So where does that leave 1Up Box? Well I imagine they are still really well off with a crap ton of subscribers. June’s theme was “Arcade” so lets crack it open and see what’s inside…

…ok so it’s been unboxed, let’s see the pics…

1Up Box Filler – Spider-Man Zipper Pull & Arcade Sticker

First of all, I don’t see how Spider-Man fits into the “Arcade” theme. Yes there are Spider-Man games so it’s a loophole but it just doesn’t really fit with everything else. The retro arcade sticker is actually pretty cool. I remember having stickers like this as a child which I stuck all over my bed lol.

Both items combined have an estimated value of $5

Pac-Man Candy

There isn’t too much candy in these so it’s really just a cool looking tin with a tiny snack inside. With all of the tins I have got from geeky subscription boxes over this past year I’ve built up quite a collection. My plan is to turn them into Xmas ornaments for my geeky tree… maybe I’ll show it off when that time of year comes around.

These sell for about $3

Space Invaders Lanyard

I don’t use lanyards, but if I did… this would be the lanyard for me! It’s got a space invaders print and has a detachable clip at the bottom.

Similar lanyards sell for about $5

Bobble Budds Street Fighter Round 1

I’ve never seen these before. It’s a bobble head but you can screw the head down so it doesn’t bounce if you prefer. I got Chun Li which is one of my favorite characters from Street Fighter so I’m happy about that.

These sell for about $12

Fight Fight Revolution Shirt

This is a pretty cool design. I like the little Ryu guy and it’s a clever mash-up. Theres not much more I can say about it lol.

I value all shirts at $10

…and that was the 1Up Box “Arcade” geeky subscription box for June 2015. An estimated $35 value for less than $20 shipped. Overall it wasn’t a bad box but I wish they would step up their game and deliver the quality box they used to… before the split.
