In case you didn’t know, My Geeky Goodies has announced they will be “taking the summer off” and have suspended all boxes until sometime this fall. Their final box was for June 2015 and they are claiming that they will be back bigger and better than ever. So did they go out with a bang? …lets check it out….

…not quite the “bang” I had hoped for… lets take a closer look…

my geeky goodies

Vintage Card and Sticker Packs

Don’t get me wrong, these are very cool and they take me back to my childhood… but they’ve been including these every month for a while now so it would have been nice to see something different for a change.

The packs aren’t very rare and you could probably get all 3 for $1

Marvel Spider-Man Pin

These pins have found their way into several geeky subscription boxes lately which leads me to believe that the manufacturer was having a “fire sale” on them just to get rid of them. They are a nice quality pin but in the end it’s still just a pin and nothing very special.

You can find these for about $5

DC Super Heroes Mystery Minis

I do like Mystery Minis and luckily I got Harley Quinn because there are not many DC characters I follow. She is pretty nicely detailed as they usually are …I’m sure I don’t have to tell you though because almost everyone has at least 1 Mystery Minis.

These sell for about $7

X Men Magneto Funko Pop

This item would have been so much more exciting to me if I didn’t already have him. I love getting Funko Pops but it’s starting to get to the point where all the most common Pops have been covered in geeky subscription boxes so I am starting to get doubles. It’s no problem though because he has already found himself a new home.

I value all Pops at $10

I AM ELEMENTAL Action Figure

I had never heard of these up until now. The “I am elemental” series is geared towards girls and features empowering traits to help boost self esteem and such which is something severely lacking in the realm of action figures. Let’s face it, most female comic super heroes are still really aimed towards a male crowd with revealing outfits and such. I really think this is good what this company is trying to do except I have no girls in the house to play with it.

These figures sell for about $10

…and there you have the My Geeky Goodies final box for the summer. An estimated $33 value for $25 shipped. Personally I think they just “phoned” this one in… it was pretty basic and not very exciting. Hopefully, after some time off they will come back with a bang …I’m sure it’s not easy pushing out a subscription box every month so I hope they enjoy a much needed vacation.
