It’s time once again for one of my favorite boxes… My Geeky Goodies! The theme for May is “Epic Battles” and from the graphic I am hoping for an awesome box! If any geeky subscription box can pull this theme off right, it’s My Geeky Goodies! So what are we waiting for? Lets check it out…
…pretty cool eh? Ok so let’s get to the photos…
Kre-O Army Builder Mini Figure
I do like these types of mini figures but I prefer the geeky licensed ones such as Transformers. (yes I know it doesn’t go with the theme). We have plenty of LEGOs so its cool to get another figure, but the ones like this just go in the box with all of the other bricks and not on display.
These sell for about $3
Dungeons & Dragons The Animated Series DVD
This cartoon is awesome! I used to watch it all the time as a kid.. it was one of my favorites. In typical 80s fashion, a group of teens get sucked into the world of D&D and have to beat the bad guys in order to get back home. There were 27 total episodes in the series and this DVD has 1 – 9 on it.
This sells for about $5
Game of Thrones Mystery Minis (Edition 2)
I do love the Mystery Minis! Especially Game of Thrones… I got Jon Snow although there is some debate that this is actually Robb Stark. It’s not… because I looked it up. Either way he is awesome and will join the rest of my Mystery Minis hanging out on a shelf.
These sell for about $8
Daenerys Targaryen Funko Pop
I’m surprised I don’t have more Game of Thrones Pops. This is only my 3rd one which just seems odd since most of these boxes frequently send GOT items inside. Daenerys also seems to be the most popular character to include in these boxes with the runner up being Jon Snow. It’s a Pop Vinyl so what more can you say about it?
I value all Pops at $10
Monty Python Killer Rabbit With Bog Pointy Teeth
YES!!! This is probably the best item ever!! Can you tell I’m excited? I saw “The Holy Grail” sometime around when I was 13 years old and I instantly became obsessed with everything Monty Python. I would say the number one item I had ever wanted was my own killer rabbit… and now MGG has made this happen for me. I never knew such a thing existed until now… this is the smaller version, you squeeze it’s butt to open the mouth but I believe they do make a larger hand puppet sized one.
…and there you have the My Geeky Goodies “Epic Battles” box for May 2015. An estimated $36 value for $25 shipped. Unfortunately My Geeky Goodies has announced that after their June box goes out, they will be taking the summer off. All subscriptions have been stopped, and once they reopen, you will have to re-subscribe to get the service again. The theme for their final box will be “Heroes & Villains” which is one that has been done time and time again in the subscription box world so hopefully they will go out with a bang. I wish them all the best and hopefully they will be back next fall refreshed with an even better service than they have now.
Be sure to check out my other unboxings, and follow me on social media so you never miss out on another geeky subscription box!
