It’s here! It’s here! The first ever Comic Con Box! The geeky subscription box created by none other than Wizard World themselves. This is the second large business to jump into the subscription box game. Apparently there is money to be made here ya think? Their first box was themed “It Begins” for April 2015 even though it didn’t ship out until May. So let’s get with the video and see what’s inside…

…they managed to cram a lot of stuff into that box! So let’s check out the pictures…

Zombie Gum and Filler

So they had a little tiny bit of filler in the box… some gum and a few cards with coupon codes. The gum was pretty good, one code was for Con TV, and the other was a discount at Toywiz. It wasn’t all that bad for filler stuff.

K’NEX Plants vs Zombies Mini Figure

I have never seen these before which makes them pretty cool in my book as far as LEGO-like mini figures go. I was hooked on Plants vs Zombies back in the day and these little guys are way more articulated than most other figures of this type.

These sell on Amazon for about $8

Zumbies Walking Thread Doll

I’ve seen these around, or maybe they were just similar. I may even have one stashed around here somewhere. They are pretty cool, I got “Unpredictable Priscilla” who is pretty wicked looking. Very “Tim Burton-like” and has a chain on top to hang somewhere or even use as a keychain.

These sell on Amazon for about $12

Funko Walking Dead Mystery Minis

This was series 1 which is pretty old and outdated I guess you could say… unless of course you get the 1 rare walker. Then I guess it pays off big time for you. If I got a mystery minis THAT valuable I’d sell it in a second in case the market drops out on them lol.

These sell for about $7

Wolverine Comic Con Exclusive Variant Cover

Naturally you have to have an exclusive comic in a comic con box! I’ve seen a few other unboxings and I believe there were several other versions that you could have received. I think the artwork is pretty awesome on this cover don’t you?

It has a face value of $4

“I Haz Kittenz” Game of Thrones Walker Print

I believe that was the title of this print. This thing was so freaking funny I’m pretty sure everyone laughed when they realized there was the cat in the picture. I think it’s a great work of art and if I only had more wall space this would be hanging in my Nerd Cave.

I’m not sure how to price it but it was mass produced for the box so I’ll put $5 on it.

Dragon Age Redemption DVD

I never knew this movie existed. I’ve played all the games though and look forward to seeing it. I have read that it got mixed reviews so I’m not expecting much from it. There was an Anime movie that you could have got instead but I haven’t heard of that one either.

It sells for about $8 on Amazon

The Running Dead T-Shirt

This wasn’t a big hit with everyone… but I like it. I do run on occasion and I’m a fan of the Walking Dead so it’s fitting. Rick could have looked a little more like himself and less like Gaston from Beauty and the Beast though. I mean that’s not even close.

I value all shirts at $10

comic con box

Funko Hello Kitty Mummy (Glow in the Dark)

They took a big risk putting Hello Kitty in the first box. I’ve heard a lot of complaints about it. I’m not a fan either but I gave it to my girlfriend so it didn’t go to waste. There were 3 different figures you could have received except mine was a glow in the dark version which I’m unsure if that somehow makes it more rare.

The standard version sells for about $10 but the glow in the dark one was all over the place in price.

…and that was the first ever Comic Con Box for April 2015. An estimated $65 value for $37 shipped. Personally I thought this was a great start for this box with tons of stuff and a really good value as well. I cant wait to see what they have in store for next month… apparently the theme will be Avengers. There is also reportedly some random signed items that make their way in to the boxes but I haven’t seen anyone unbox one I’ve only read about it.
