Ok here’s a box that’s been around a while, yet not too many people have “unboxed”. Boxy Chan or BoxyChan (I’ve seen it both ways) is a geeky mystery box that has been around at least a year if not more. If you have never heard of this box before let me fill you in. While they do offer subscriptions, BoxyChan is a one time purchase box that comes in many themes. They currently have 21 different themes to choose from. Very cool selections such as: Anime, Fantasy, GI Joe, Horror, DC, Marvel, Transformers, and Thunder Cats. Each box runs $25 plus shipping so your total is about $30. For my first box I chose Star Wars for my theme…. so lets check it out!

so that was an example of a Boxy Chan box. They are made to order though so every box is different. Let’s look at what I got…

Angry Birds Star Wars Dangler

Not too thrilled about this item… when placing my order I was trying to think of a theme where I could avoid the little junk like this but I forgot about the Angry Birds toy line. I was hooked on the original game for a while but then it just sorta gets too repetitive version after version ya know? Not that it’s their fault I just don’t like Angry Birds merchandise or danglers for that matter… oh well I gave it to the kids.

These packs sell for about $5

Angry Birds Star Wars Bookmark

Yes I did get a second Angry Birds item. It’s ok though because my kids are big readers and go through a lot of bookmarks but something like this seems to be a bookmark they wont lose.

These also sell for about $5

Star Wars Desk Calendar

This is actually pretty cool because each day shows a different scene from the original trilogy. In this digital age I still use a paper calendar so this was actually useful to me.

These also sell for about $5

Millennium Falcon T-Shirt

Despite my bad photo this is a really cool shirt design. Naturally I’m a big fan of Star Wars so this was a given.

I value all shirts at $10

Star Wars Titanium Slave 1

This is awesome! I love vehicles as opposed to characters (Funko Pops) …I mean let’s not get crazy here I still love Pops and what not but vehicles take me back to my childhood. This one is all silver or “titanium” colored which I think displays really nice. It has earned a spot up with the rest of my Star Wars vehicles.

This sells for about $15

…and there you have the BoxyChan “Star Wars” themed box for April 2015. An estimated $40 value for $30 shipped. Although you don’t get very many items in the box, I feel they did a very good job with it and yes… even with the Angry Birds stuff in there. If you want to check out BoxyChan for yourself, you can visit them at their website here.
