It’s time for another Loot Crate unboxing! April’s theme is “Fantasy” and I had really high hopes for this geeky subscription box. So …do you think it will be a good one?? Only one way to find out….

.

…and there ya go… it was a very small box compared to what they normally ship which kinda tipped me off that there would be nothing large like a Pop inside. So lets take a look at what we did get:

Game of Thrones Flash Drive

In this day and age, a 4 GB flash drive is almost a throw away item. Businesses literally give them away instead of printed materials. I mean you can get double the amount, an 8 GB stick for $1.50 right now… I cant even transfer my unprocessed YouTube videos with a 4 GB stick. However, I love Game of Thrones and this USB stick looks awesome. I’d use it everyday if it only had more storage on it.

Licensed drives sell for $10 and up, since there’s not a lot of memory I’m staying at $10

Harry Potter Bag Tag

I’m not a big Potter fan but this is a very nice luggage tag. It’s pretty large and seems to be decent quality… I may actually use this on my luggage.

These sell for about $10 on Amazon

Game of Thrones House Sigil Magnets

I like these so much better than stickers. They’re simple, small and cool… for a magnet.

A similar set sells for $10 but has more magnets on Amazon

Princess Bride Playing Cards

These are just your average deck of cards with images of the Princess Bride characters on them. I like the movie (but who doesn’t right) and I find these to be pretty clever. I don’t really play cards too often though so they wont be used much.

These are a bit pricey and sell for $15 on Amazon

Black Tie Geek Bowtie

We got a tie a few months back which I absolutely loved… the bowtie not so much. I have to wear a tie to work everyday but I’m pretty sure a bowtie wouldn’t be acceptable and my boss wouldn’t be very amused. I don’t know an occasion where this would be appropriate for me to wear at all so I’m not sure what I’ll do with it just yet.

Black Tie Geek still hasn’t launched their website but similar items sell for about $10

Dungeons & Dragons Shirt

I love the color and I love the design! This shirt is a winner for me!

I value all shirts at $10

loot crate

Inflatable Crown

It’s cheesy yes but it fits the theme. When I see it I am reminded of the Burger King crowns lol… it’s a novelty item for sure but I may get some use out of it from time to time (birthdays and such)

I found it on Amazon for $6

Loot Crate Filler

There’s nothing out of the ordinary about the filler this month… the book and the pin and that’s all.

…and there you have April’s Loot Crate “Fantasy” geeky subscription box. An estimated $70 value for $20 shipped. Overall not a very impressive box this month… the items weren’t bad but they lack that “wow factor” for sure. I was expecting a bit more fantasy in my “fantasy” box but I think they coordinated the items pretty well. If you would like to try Loot Crate for yourself, you can visit their website by clicking here. Every purchase made through one of my affiliate links goes right back into this website to bring you even more geeky mystery boxes.
