Yes yes I know I’m running behind on my March boxes. My Geeky Goodies came through this month with the “Monster Apocalypse” themed box. Last month’s box was pretty awesome so I’m excited to see what they have in store this time… so let’s check it out…
So I thought that was a pretty good box, how about you? And of course we will take a closer look at all of the items…
Dinosaurs Attack Trading Cards
These old style cards really bring back memories for me. I’ve never had these cards in particular but the Topps novelty cards were always a childhood favorite for me. We got Topps Nintendo cards a few months back which I thought were a hit so I don’t mind a repeat with a different theme.
These aren’t very rare and you could probably get 2 packs for $1
Bicycle Cards Zombified Playing Cards
These are playing cards where the characters on the cards (King, Queen, etc) are zombies instead of the normal look. They are clever and I do play cards from time to time so these will come in handy. They are nothing special but I think they fit the theme well.
These sell for around $4
Walking Dead Mystery Minis Series 3
This was a total win for me! I love the Walking Dead and Mystery Minis so you just cant go wrong throwing one of these in the box.
Mystery Minis sell for about $8
Cthulhu Funko Pop
This Pop is awesome! I’ve seen him around and wanted one for myself and sure enough… got one. I try not to buy Pops on their own to reduce the risk of getting a double in my geek boxes. As I’ve always said, the Pops with a unique sculpt are way more valuable to me than just a plan doll in a costume type.
I value all Pops at $10
Zebes Attacks Shirt
The design on this shirt is great… my only gripe is that it is SO very yellow. Not that it’s entirely a bad thing but it’s so freaking bright yellow that I feel like I’m glowing in the dark while wearing it. BUT I do like it and will wear it so there’s that.
I value all shirts at $10
…and there you have it. The My Geeky Goodies “Monster Apocalypse” Geeky Subscription Box for March 2015. An estimated $33 value for $25 shipped. While there wasn’t a lot in this box, I feel they did well with the theme and the items they chose were good. Any time you get a Shirt, Pop, and Mystery Minis item in a box it’s an easy win.
