Arcade Block Unboxing and Review – February 2015

After several months away, I’ve come back to the Arcade Block. I will be honest… the promise of 3 Zelda items intrigued me, but it was the announcement of a Star Fox item that pushed me over the edge. Aww who am I kidding, I was getting every box this month and Arcade Block was no exception. So lets open the box and see what’s inside…

It’s been a long while since I played any Zelda game so my memory was a bit rusty… but let’s take a closer look:

Majora’s Mask T-Shirt

This one stumped me when I unboxed it… in the days of old, once the Playstation was released I never looked back at Nintendo. Majora’s Mask was apparently on the N64 and I’m pretty sure I didn’t know a single person who owned one. However, it’s a cool shirt design and Nerd Block is known for their quality shirts so I will be wearing this for sure,

I value all t-shirts at $10

Plush Link

I’m not a big fan of plush items. I’ve learned to live with them because they come in so many boxes and just wind up giving them to the kids. Link is cool though and he may just hang out by the old NES to add to the video game décor.

This guy sells for $11

StarFox Coffee Mug

Yes it’s just a simple coffee mug but it will make all the other geeks at the office jealous. Ok so I only have one other geek where I work but I can still make him envy my awesome mug.

Similar mugs sell for about $10

Pac Man Keychain

I got one of these already in the Geek Me Box. It makes realistic Pac Man chomping sounds when you push a button on the back. He is pretty cool and I know it’s just a coincidence but it’s always a bit of a let down when you get a repeat item. No big deal, I will just give it away.

These sell for about $7

Sonic The Hedgehog Mystery Ball

I used to play Sonic like crazy back in the day but somewhere after Sonic 3 it began to go downhill. Apparently this is “Super Sonic” which is just Sonic in his “super” form. He’s small but kinda cool… I wish I would have received one of the original sonic characters instead but it’s a blind box …er ball so you get what you get.

These sell for $5

Legend of Zelda Mouse Pad

Its a cool little mouse pad with a map of Hyrule on it. I should have recognized it right off the bat but as I said, I haven’t played a Zelda game in ages.

Similar ones sell for about $5

…and that’s February’s Arcade Block. An estimated $48 for $30 shipped. I will be getting Arcade Block again next month but will most likely take a break again after that one. I figure I will start doing some type of rotation between the “Blocks” (Classic, Arcade, & Horror) so that at least one is always represented each month.
