Hello! Once again it’s time to unbox another Loot Crate! February’s theme is “Play” which seemed like a rather unique topic to take on for a geeky subscription box so let’s crack it open and take a look inside!

Pretty unique box right? How about we take a closer look at all of these items…

Loot Crate Exclusive Superfight Deck

This was pretty much the only spoiler that was released for this box. Prior to this I hadn’t heard of Superfight but like I said in my video, I looked it up and it seems like a really cool game! I’m not going to go into the specifics of the game but if you’re interested in Superfight you can visit their website here. This exclusive deck gives you everything you need to play the game, however, I have a feeling after a few rounds I’m going to wind up buying more expansion packs.

Superfight decks sell for $15

HexBug

These toys are pretty cool, I actually already have one. It fits the spirit of “play” while still maintaining a nerdy it-ok-to-play-with-toys status. Basically you turn it on and it runs around the floor like … well like a bug.

They sell for $10 and can be found in any toy department

MunnyWorld mini Munny LC Exclusive

Kidrobot has a whole line of these DIY vinyl figures but this particular one is a Loot Crate exclusive item. It comes with 3 markers that will wipe off so you can change your figure over and over again. I might use them to practice a bit but then I’m thinking I’ll do something a little more permanent.

Pricing for these were all over the map but I am going with $10 (like a Funko Pop)

Ready Player One Book

Apparently this has been rated one of the best books of 2014 by Amazon and right on the cover it boasts a New York Times BestSeller rating. I barely have enough time to keep up with my unboxings let alone read a novel… but this book intrigues me and at some point in my life I will sit down and get through the whole thing. I like when they include a book in their boxes (they did another one back a few months ago) I used to be a big reader and one day I hope to have the time to get back into it.

This sells for just under $10

Pac Man Poster

Loot Crate has been doing a great job of keeping the filler to a minimum. At some point this poster wasn’t half bad, however, it was crushed in the shipping process despite being put inside a small cardboard box. It will take a lot of work to flatten out those wrinkles but it really doesn’t matter that much to me because I wouldn’t hang it up anyways.

It’s probably worth $1

Loot Crate Board Game

I had a feeling the box would become a game when they announced “Play”. It was only natural lol. I’ll be honest though I’m not going to play it. I do appreciate the “Rock, Paper, Scissors” dice and will make use of them to settle disputes and what not lol. All-in-all it was a clever touch.

I estimate $5 for the materials involved

And that was Loot Crate’s “Play” box for February 2015. An estimated $50 value for $20 shipped! Personally I like this month’s box. It was different from the norm in a refreshing way. I like T-Shirts and Funko Pops as much as the next guy… but sometimes a little change is good.
