box of dread

Hello again! Today I’m bringing you a new box (new to me at least) called Box of Dread! This subscription box delivers horror themed goodies to your door at a cost of $20 per month shipped. I’ve known about this box for a while but never pulled the trigger on an order until now… why now? Well because I’ve picked the shortest month to stage the BIGGEST unboxing event on the net. I’ve ordered up just about every box I could find and I’m kicking it all off with this one! So what’s inside? Well check out my video and see….

Pretty unique eh? So let’s take a closer look….

Vampirella Mouse Pad

I’m not very familiar with the Vampirella character but I can appreciate a good boob shot when I see one lol. Unfortunately, with kids in my household I wont be making use of this item. The artwork on this item is great, however, the mouse pad itself is a bit thin and cheap feeling.

Vampirella Sticker

Another great piece of artwork that I realistically cant make use of in my house. I’m not too big on stickers to begin with but stickers with hot half-naked girls on them …I quite literally have no place I can stick this and have it be acceptable. The sticker itself is good quality and the printing is quite detailed… in my younger years I would have totally stuck this on my wall or something but as an adult it is no longer an option.

Vampirella Comic

This comic is a Box of Dread exclusive item. I believe it is just a variant cover and not the entire comic that is exclusive. Either way, I like getting comics occasionally in my boxes so I will definitely read this. It looks as if it explains the Vampirella character so I will be able to gain a better appreciation for these items.

ZombieWorld Poster

It’s a nice poster but I don’t know much about this movie. I looked it up and it was hard to determine if it’s going to be good or not so I’ll have to wait and see. I’m a big fan of zombie movies so I will definitely check it out …if it turns out to be a cult classic then this poster will earn its way onto my wall.

ZombieWorld Survival Blanket

First of all I’m not completely sure this is in fact a blanket. I’ve used them before and this feels more like silver wrapping paper and wont help much of anything at all. Maybe it’s a prop blanket which would be silly because the real things are so cheap it just doesn’t make sense. The fact of the matter is, in the case of a zombie apocalypse …using this blanket will ensure that you’re among the first to die because it’s terribly noisy and will attract zombies for miles around.

ZombieWorld Survival Kit

I have to admit this is clever! A fanny pack with water bottle, med kit, and whistle/flashlight/compass thingy. It ties in to the zombie apocalypse theme perfectly and makes it all more real. Theoretically this stuff is all useful in the case of any type of emergency and is good to have around. The compass on the whistle doesn’t really work properly so in the case of an actual emergency I wouldn’t count on it lol.

box of dread

And there you have the February 2015 Box of Dread. Normally I price out the items in a box but given the unique nature of these I really didn’t see the point. I feel that I got more than $20 worth of product so it was worth the money spent in that respect. I will definitely be giving away most, if not all of the items in the box in some type of contest at the end of the month. They aren’t really my style but I knew that would be the case going in.

Be sure to follow me on social media because I will be announcing my contest after I’ve completed my month end review. The exact items I will be giving away will depend on what comes in all of February’s boxes so stay tuned for more details…
