Mr. Beams Stick Anywhere Task Light Review

Mr. Beams Stick Anywhere

We have a potentially dangerous situation in our house. We have a split staircase on our upper floor that dips 3 steps on either side before going down the main stairs. There are absolutely no plugs anywhere in the hallway in which to put a night light so the area is completely dark at night. To make matters worse, the hallway light switch is at the bottom of the dip so that is not an option either. The bottom line is there is no way to get light shining on these steps making it a potential falling hazard!

We’ve tried a few things to solve this dilemma. First we tried leaving the bathroom light on, but that was a huge waste of energy and it typically got turned off strictly out of habit when leaving the room.  Next we tried projecting nightlight out into the hall from inside the closest room which created just enough light to where you could make out the steps, however, if you are half asleep in the middle of the night it’s real easy to misjudge their location and stumble down.

That’s where Mr. Beams Stick Anywhere Task Light came in to play.

About the size of a smart phone, Mr. Beams is battery powered (4 AA) with a light/motion sensor and only goes on when it’s dark and senses motion. The led provides 35 lumens of light that cover 10 square feet so it is very bright and has a nice coverage area. Included with the light is some double stick tape and screws for mounting in your desired location. The potential uses for this light are endless: you could put them under or in cabinets, above a work bench, in a tool box, or like my girlfriend did and put it in the closet. (She stole one from the 2 pack after she saw how cool they are).

Now, as you can see, our hallway is much safer thanks to Mr. Beams. If you are interested in the Stick Anywhere Task Light or any other Mr. Beams product, visit their website for more details.
